Refund Policy

Effective 2026-05-28.

The short version

This is a downloadable digital product. Once the download link has been used or its 24-hour validity window has expired, the Product is considered delivered and the standing policy is no refunds. We will, however, refund you in the specific cases below, and we treat every refund request individually and in good faith. If something is wrong, contact us — we would rather fix it than fight about it.

Pre-download refunds

If you have purchased but have not yet clicked the download link, you may request a no-questions-asked refund through the contact form with your order ID within 14 days of purchase. Once the download link has been clicked or its 24-hour expiry has passed, the cases below apply.

When we will refund (after download)

  • Delivery failure: the download link did not deliver a working file, or the file was corrupted on our end. Send us the order ID and we will reissue or refund at your choice.
  • Product defect: the strategy file fails to load or run in a currently supported RealTest version on a properly configured Norgate Premium Data Platinum install, and the failure is reproducible by us. We will attempt to fix it first; if we cannot, we refund.
  • Material misdescription: if a publicly stated fact about the Product (e.g. a published backtest stat, universe, or methodology assumption) is materially incorrect and you relied on it at purchase, we will refund.
  • Regime-break clause: if, during the first 90 days after your purchase, the live (forward) performance of the Product exceeds 2x the historical maximum drawdown in a manner that constitutes a clear regime break in our reasonable, good-faith judgment, we will refund and may at our discretion offer a patched strategy or a different strategy.

For all of the above except delivery failure, please contact us and allow us to diagnose before requesting the refund — most issues are install-related and resolve in one or two exchanges.

When we will not refund

  • You changed your mind after downloading.
  • Your live results were worse than the published backtest. Backtests are hypothetical; some divergence is expected and is disclosed in the Risk Disclosure.
  • You do not have RealTest installed, do not have a Norgate Premium Data Platinum subscription, or do not run a supported version of Windows. These prerequisites are listed prominently on the product page and you are expected to verify them before purchase.
  • You did not read the published methodology and are surprised by an assumption (slippage, commissions, position sizing, holding period, trade frequency). All assumptions are public before checkout.
  • You believe a different, similar-looking strategy you found elsewhere is cheaper. We do not price-match.
  • You decided not to follow the strategy's signals and want a refund because your discretionary substitutions lost money.

EU / UK cooling-off period

Under EU and UK consumer law, digital content purchases normally carry a 14-day right of withdrawal. By clicking the download link or otherwise initiating delivery of the digital file, you expressly request immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once performance has begun. This is a standard provision for downloadable software. You may exercise your right of withdrawal before clicking the download link by submitting our contact form within 14 days of purchase.

How to request a refund

  1. Submit a request via the contact form.
  2. Include your order ID (from your purchase receipt) and the email used at checkout.
  3. Describe what went wrong, including any error messages, RealTest version, and Norgate subscription tier where relevant.
  4. Expect a response within one business day.

Approved refunds are issued via the original Stripe transaction and typically appear on your statement within 5-10 business days, depending on your card issuer.

Chargebacks

We prefer to handle issues directly. If you file a chargeback with your card issuer before contacting support, your license is automatically revoked, and we will provide Stripe with the order record, terms acceptance, and any relevant correspondence to contest the chargeback. Please contact us first — we are easier to reach than your bank's dispute department.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Refund Policy. The version in effect at the time of your purchase governs your order. The effective date at the top of this page will change when the policy is updated.
